Calm After the Storm

After last night’s rough storms, this afternoon will prove to be much calmer and cooler. A pretty strong cold front sweeped through this morning and temperatures that were at 73 degrees at 5:30 am quickly feel to 63 degrees in about 2 hours! A few clouds are moving through now as the last of the front passes but sunshine should return for this afternoon and temperatures should reach close to 72 degrees later today.

The comfortable weather will remain through the first part of the weekend until a little more humidity returns by Sunday. – CANDY

You guys are great! Definitely the best weather team around!

I agree 100%. Even though the storms didn’t really pan out in the rockford area, 13 news weather team kept us up to date all night. I won’t rely on anyone but 13. I don’t really even rely the weather channel anymore. It was better to be safe than sorry. I told people today that it was better to overhype it and be safe than to say just storms forecast and have a tornado come thru unexpectedly.

The weather channel doesnt have updates nearly as often as they need to be. I’ve never really watched any of the other stations… not sure why. If I’m looking for someone to cut in i might flip stations. The others aren’t bad, I’m just used to the 13 news weather team

Heck with the weather channel, there could be a tornado coming this way and unless it’s heading for chicago, they will just keep up with their regular programming.
