In Chicago – 3500 blk of W. 31st St.- and storms are moving through. Incredible wind gusts, but no rain. Around 1330hrs., ran into very heavy rain and high winds on I-88 at Sugar Grove, IL.

based on these reports, looks like the southeast side and east side got the worst. like in my previous post, we just had some brief heavy rain here, and lightning and thunder, but no major wind gusts, or hail or damage.

to add on my previous post (as I was at work and made a quick post)

I work on State between Alpine and Mulford and it was extremely windy and raining rediculously hard.

My coworker that used to live in Florida until this year mentioned that this storm today, for a few seconds, reminded him like a tropical storm that he experienced a few years ago. The skies were super dark here and the wind was blowing so hard through the small trees and bending them for a short time. And the rain was just coming down so hard. Obviously what we experienced today was very short and nothing like the longevity and consistancy like a tropical storm would be.

A lot of leaves came off the trees too!

Here just 5 miles northwest of Mt. Morris…we got a hair under 1 inch of rain. We sure needed it!
