Thursday Rainfall Totals

Much of northern Illinois saw a good, soaking rain this afternoon.  Rockford reported nearly one inch; other areas saw a little more than an inch and others a little less.  The exception was southern Wisconsin (which saw under half an inch), since the bulk of the precipitation remained south of the Stateline.

For the month of May, however, we are still well below average.  Normal rainfall is just over 4 inches.  We are still about 2.5 inches under that total!  Since January 1, Rockford is about 2.15 inches below normal.  -JA
