Halloween History

Today’s crystal clear skies are going to lead to a chilly but very pleasant trick-or-treating experience for thousands of kids across the Stateline. Our high today will only take us up to 49 degrees and temps this evening will dip into the low 40s. However, it could most definitely be colder today. The coldest Halloween high temperature ever recorded in Rockford was 32 degrees back in 1917. On the flip side, the warmest Halloween we have see came back in 1950 when the mercury climbed all the way up to 84! I hope everyone has a happy and safe Halloween tonight! -Greg
