Healthy Dose of Rain

As the title says, a healthy dose of rain is in the works for northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. We need it too! Our April monthly rain total is down about 30% from normal. Our seasonal (since March 1st) deficit is just over two inches. From the pre-dawn hours of Sunday morning through Monday evening, many of us could pick up an inch or two of rainfall.

Rounds of showers and thunderstorms will push through the Midwest, with our area expected to receive some of the higher rainfall totals. The potential for heavy rainfall exists on Sunday evening through Monday morning. This is when the bulk of the rain will fall into our rain gauges.
