Seattle Switcheroo!

When you think of Seattle weather, you think cloudy, cool weather. Typically, that’s what happens! However today Seattle was just a few degrees short of a record high temperature! According to my friend Morgan Palmer, Meteorologist at Seattle’s KIRO-TV, today’s 80 degree temperatures are the warmest since September, and are the earliest 80s in a decade!

Back to Rockford: Our high temperature on Wednesday was just 49 degrees…almost equally out-of-whack! Today’s high temperature was 18 degrees off of the normal high of 67 degrees. But the weather pattern will shift in the coming days. Seattle will settle back into the 50s while we warm into the 80s…potentially! Here is Seattle’s forecast compared to Rockford.

Side note: Everyone in Northern Illinois knows “Symbol.” The large red-orange art that stands on the riverfront at Sinnissippi Park in Rockford. Did you know there’s a very similar piece of art by Alexander Liberman very near Seattle’s Space Needle? Now you know!
